Proverbs 19 (ESV)
19 Better is a poor person who walks in his integrity
than one who is crooked in speech and is a fool.

Desire[ a ] without knowledge is not good,
and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.

his heart rages against the Lord.

Wealth brings many new friends,

COMING CLEAN WITH SOAP AND WATER

Wash yourselves; make yourselves
clean; remove the evil of your deeds
from before my eyes; cease to do evil, learn to do good;seek justice,
correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.“Come now, let us reason
together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land; – Isaiah 1:16-19

Soap is one of those things we take for granted But what is SOAP anyway, and how does it work?
Who invented it? Does it matter what kind we use? YES IT DOES.  If you were an ancient Greek or Roman, you cleaned yourself by rubbing olive oil and sand or pumice on yourself and then scraping it off. Eventually, various cultures learned to make and use soap, but bathing was often done for social or ritual reasons, not to become clean. The majority of cultures, however,bathed in water and most of them heated the water. Water bathing was practiced by the ancient Babylonians, Egyptians, and Romans. The first of the famous Roman baths was built about 312
BC. These wonderful public bathing facilities (large communal “hot tubs”) were supplied with water from the aqueduct system. There were both hot and cold rooms, and medium-temperature rooms for lounging, which had a variety of services such as food and wine, massage and “personal training.” We cannot say for sure who first made soap but A commonly accepted story for how soap was discovered comes from a Roman legend according to which rain would wash down through the ashes and animal fat of the burnt animal sacrifice area of Mount Sapo into the clay banks of the Tiber River where the local women washed their clothing, and they noticed that this clay mixture made their wash cleaner. It is most likely, however, that the process of
making soap was discovered independently in many places around the world, as news did not
travel quickly in the early eras of mankind. Back to the present… When was the last time you had a very descent bath; That very sublime feeling under a mildly hot or Lukewarm shower that melts THE SOAP and creates a squeaky clean backdrop for your largest organ… Your Skin. It’s amazing how we spend time, energy and fortunes taking care of our Skin or Flesh while we take little or no time taking care of our Spirit… The True person. GOD IS SPIRIT and Mankind was created in His Image… SPIRIT.

Jeremiah 2:21-22 says…
I planted you a choice vine, wholly of pure seed. How then have you turned degenerate and become a wild vine? Though you wash yourself with lye and use much soap, the stain of your guilt is still before me

Malachi 3:2-3 says…
But who can endure the day of his
coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the LORD.

Ephesians 5:26 says…
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word.

Your relationship with soap and water tells alot about you. Scientists tell us the creation of soap begins with water…God’s Word is obvious in this miracle. If something requires cleansing, “the washing of water by the word” must be actively present. God does not work apart from His Word. From the creation of the world to the present, the place of God’s Word in His work has been essential. There are some who are clean in their own sight and think they have no need of forgiveness. Then there are some who have some idea of their shortcomings but seek the remedy for it in the wrong way. Those who know the full measure of human depravity and sin will know that there is no other remedy for it other than with the washing of almighty God. Man’s case is so desperate that only God can provide the cure. Yet there is also a place for taking personal responsibility to get immersed in God’s word as No matter how much God delivers you from the prison and clutches of Demons and Darkness, if you refuse to embrace the Truth and walk out free… HELP YOUR SELF. God forgives but some still linger in the valley of guilt and regret. GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR SINS… STRONGER THAN YOUR WEAKNESS… Stick with him. Today GOD is bringing you into Light… Embrace it and Enjoy it; as you bath yourself deeply in God’s Word you are washed clean, heart, mind, soul and body. Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

1st John 2:1-9(Message Bible)says..
I write this, dear children, to guide you out of sin. But if anyone does sin, we have a Priest-Friend in the presence of the Father: Jesus Christ, righteous Jesus. When he
served as a sacrifice for our sins, he solved the sin problem for good not only ours, but the whole world’s. Here’s how we can be sure that we know God in the right way: Keep his commandments. If someone claims,“I know him well!” but doesn’t keep his commandments,he’s obviously a liar. His life doesn’t match his words. But the one who keeps God’s word is the person in whom we see God’s mature love. This is the only way to be sure we’re in God. Anyone who claims to be intimate with God ought to live the same kind of life Jesus lived. My dear friends, I’m not writing anything new here. This is the oldest commandment in the book, and you’ve known it from day one. It’s always been implicit in the
Message you’ve heard. On the other hand, perhaps it is new, freshly minted as it is in both Christ and you—the darkness on its way out and the True Light already blazing! Anyone who claims to live in God’s light and hates a brother or sister is still in the dark. It’s the person who loves brother and sister who dwells in God’s light and doesn’t block the light from others. But whoever hates is still in the dark, stumbles around in the dark, doesn’t know which end is up, blinded by the darkness.

Simply the Best was the first greatest hits compilation by Tina Turner and was released on October 22, 1991. It’s lyrics are so loving we must learn from it…

I call you when I need you, my heart’s on fire; You come to me, come to me wild and wild; When you come to me give me everything I need; Give me a lifetime of promises and a world of dreams Speak a language of love like you know what it means ;And it can’t be wrong, take my heart and make it strong, baby
Chorus:
You’re simply the best, better than all the rest; Better than anyone, anyone I’ve ever met; I’m stuck on your heart and hang on every word you say;Tear us apart, baby, I would rather be dead.

Listening to the lyrics, it struck me: If you imagine the love object is God, instead of some empty headed girl or guy with regular features, there’s little difference between popular love songs and religious hymns, prayers and chants. Even though she wrote this to inspire love between people… It really could pass on as a fraction of what God means to someone in love with him. When was the last time you wrote or sang a song expressing your love for God.

Psalm 147:7 (TLB) says
Sing out your thanks to him; sing praises to our God”

Psalm 86:15 says…
But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and
abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Zephaniah 3:17 says…
The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

You’ve probably noticed that music and love go together, because music comes from the heart. It’s not something you do in your head. It’s something that comes out of your soul, your emotions. This Earth is a Love planet; just by listening to popular songs on radio stations… you’ll think everyone is thinking love; But instead of recognizing the real object of our desire… GOD;we have fixated on the opposite sex, whom we mystify and idealize to reflect our true sublimated desire. Christianity is a singing faith. It’s about a love affair. It’s about a relationship with God, who loves you so much that he sent his Son to die for you and who wants you to love him back. Nothing will make you more aware of God’s love and presence in your life than singing and praise. You may be thinking, “But you don’t understand. I can’t sing.” The Bible says to make a joyful noise. I know you can do that because when you watch your favorite sports team or when somebody’s getting married, you make a joyful noise. So just let it out! You don’t have to hit the right note. You just have to make a joyful noise. Can you worship God more than just at church? Yes, because worship is simply expressing your love to God. You can express your love to God anywhere and everywhere. And that means you can sing everywhere. TODAY AS YOU SING A NEW SONG… GOD WILL PROVE TO YOU THAT HE IS… SIMPLY THE BEST!  Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

Isaiah 54:1(NIV) says…
“Sing, barren woman, you who never bore A child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,”says the LORD.

WAITING GAME… DELAY NOT DENIAL

No matter who you are… You are going to spend most of your life waiting for something ;waiting for a dream to come to pass, waiting to meet the right person, waiting for the baby, waiting for a problem to turn around. GOD is never in a hurry… He is eternal but when things aren’t happening as fast as we would like, it’s easy to get frustrated. But you have to realize that the moment you prayed, God established a set time to bring the promise to pass. God has a set time for your opportunity. There is a set time for that problem to turn around, a set time for your healing, your promotion, your breakthrough. when you understand the time has already been set, it takes all the pressure off. You won’t live worried, wondering when this is ever going to happen. You’ll relax and enjoy your life knowing that the promise has already been scheduled and your answer is on the way! When the cloud is full…it empties itself.

JOB 14:14 says.. 
If a man die, shall he live again ? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (TEV) says, 
“[God] has set the right time for everything” 

Micah 7:7  (CEV) says, 
I trust the LORD God to save me, and I will wait for him to answer my prayer” 

If most of your life is going to be spent waiting, then most of your life should be spent trusting God. While you’re waiting, God is working. Don’t think that the season of waiting means that God has stopped working. He’s just taking you through that season because he’s using the time to work in your circumstances for your good. The problem with waiting is that our human nature and our culture say, “Don’t wait! Get things as quickly as you can but it goes against God’s blessing in our lives because God’s blessing comes through these times of waiting. Delay is not a denial. When you think God is saying “No,” he may just be saying, “Not yet. Will you keep trusting me through this?” Today your clouds are full expect showers of blessings all around you. Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

Isaiah 40:31 says… 
But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength;They shall mount up with wings like eagles,They shall run and not be weary,They shall walk and not faint.

FOREVER IN LOVE

FOREVER IN LOVE

I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that people will
fear him. – King Solomon

Everlasting or Forever are words not used as frequently; It’s poetic but prophetic, impactful yet neglectful probably because in a world constrained by time, how do we really measure Forever? It is so hard to wrap our brain around it because so few things in this world last forever so we do not have a strong basis for which to imagine something going on forever. Yet, that is how God describes his love for us. Unending, ongoing, and everlasting…FOREVER. Being loved, regardless of our performance, should be easy for us. We should rejoice in that knowledge but so many of us do not feel as if we can. We have become so conditioned to be let down amid constant heartbreak, that we have great trouble trusting that God will not do the same. We have to believe that His love wraps us in safety. GOD’S LOVE doesn’t let go, or let down. It just sets us free…FOREVER

Psalm 100:5 (NIV) says…
For the LORD is good and his love
endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Jeremiah 31:3 says…
“The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”

Ephesians 3:17-19 says…
“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge— that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

The best relationships are built on a foundation of love and trust. When we believe that we are secure and cherished, we feel stronger and more able to give that love out to the world. That is what God’s faithfully forever love should enable us to do on a grander scale. When we remain rooted in the security of His love, we are enabled to give it out freely to others as You can give without loving but you can’t love without giving. The antidote for every heartbreak is to be anchored on God’s unconditional Love;  that way if man fails, God’s Love Relation-ship will keep you stable and unmoved no matter how deep the ocean of pain or how titanic the iceberg of heartbreak. In the midst of the darkness and storm you will find Peace and a Steadfast assurance of a better day as God’s love shows up for you. TODAY PEOPLE MAY FAIL YOU … BUT GOD WILL SHOW UP FOR YOU. Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

Romans 8:31-39 (Message)
So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there
anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the
worst sins listed in Scripture: None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable— absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

ABOVE THE LAW OF KARMA

The Law of Karma is the Law of Cause and Effect,where every action or thought has an effect or
consequence. The nature of that effect depends upon the nature of the cause. If the cause is “good”, the effect will be “good”. If the cause comes from negative thoughts or evil, the results will be equally negative or evil. We reap what we sow. Karma is a natural law or principle which seems to govern all our interactions. It starts with the seed of thought which develops and grows over time through our feelings, attitude, words,actions, and relations. It finally settles into our souls as personality traits, only to emerge again in the form of another thought. The Law of Karma can be understood as the spiritual equivalent of Newton’s Third Law of Motion, which states that for every action [on the physical plane] there is an equal and opposite reaction. Yet if you live long enough, you may meet some very bad people who experience only Good. And some seemingly good people who have bad…. Are they above the karma?

Esther 5: 9-14 (Message) says…
Haman left the palace that day happy,beaming. And then he saw Mordecai sitting at the King’s Gate ignoring him, oblivious to him. Haman was furious with Mordecai. But he held himself in and went on home. He got his friends together with his wife Zeresh and started
bragging about how much money he had, his many sons, all the times the king had honored him, and his promotion to the highest position in
the government. “On top of all that,” Haman continued, “Queen Esther invited me to a private dinner she gave for the king, just the three of us. And she’s invited me to another one tomorrow. But I can’t enjoy any of it when I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the King’s Gate.” His wife Zeresh and all his friends said,“Build a gallows seventy-five feet high. Esther 7:9-10 (Message)says…
Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, spoke up: “Look over there! There’s the gallows that Haman had built for Mordecai, who saved the king’s life. It’s right next to Haman’s house—seventy-five feet high!”The king said, “Hang him on it!” So Haman was hanged on the very gallows that he had built for Mordecai. And the king’s hot anger cooled.

Ephesians 6:7-8 (NIV) says…
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people, because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free.

For every known law, there is always a higher law; though in The law of gravity, everything that goes up and reaches its limit point must come down, the aeroplane operates on a higher law of Aerodynamics that combines with The law of Kinetic motion to keep it flying for hours. THE LAW OF GRACE IS FAR ABOVE AND SUPERIOR TO THE LAW OF KARMA. Karma says you get what you deserve while grace says Jesus got all you deserved. Grace is the undeserved, unearned favor of God that gives us access to the power of God for everything we need for life and godliness. The Law of Grace tells us that ‘grace’ releases to us a dispensation of mercy. Grace dissolves karma, changes matter and creates miracles. So no matter what you have done… You can today choose to experience only God’s Goodness by trusting and believing in God’s grace. Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

This Is my favourite #FoodForThought message because,truly everyone has to live or die for something in this present world,lest our lives be empty and meaningless,In spite of this cliché,how many people in our generation are willing to take up the stand,to be ridiculed,more especially for righteousness’ sake. We are a generation of part time Christians who want to worship God in our own convenience,we have forgotten to Note that obedience precedes any form of blessings. I pray that God through our lord Jesus give me and everyone that has an encounter with Him the grace to live for the only cause that’s worth dying for,that is to live for Jesus and to do Gods will.

CASTAWAY IN FORGOTTEN-LAND (A TRUE LIFE STORY)

Call him a real life version of Robinson Crusoe and you can’t be wrong… In early 2014, Jose Salvador Alvarenga was found in an atoll in the Marshall Islands after having drifted to the area on a small fishing boat for 13 months. He started his journey in Mexico, more than 6,000 miles away…alone in the deep ocean after a Strom wrecked his boat’s engine. Imagine drifting in a ship — not merely overnight, but night after night, month after month, for a year —with nothing in sight. How did he survive such an ordeal? — as Alvarenga describes as he granted his first interview with his mind drifting as if still at sea–in a boat about the length of three people and the width of one person- He pointed upward and said, “God. … My faith in God.”

Genesis 8:1 (NIV) Says…
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and
the waters receded.

Jeremiah 31:20 says…
Is not Ephraim my dear son, the child in whom I delight? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore my heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,”declares the LORD.

This is for you if you have ever felt… Forgotten, Left Behind or simply excluded from what shouldn’t be exclusive; Perhaps this year is gradually ending and you seem to be drifting away from your promise land into the deep ocean of uncertainty… Like Noah who had been drifting on the endless world-sea for almost a year, following the onslaught of the Flood. He had been a man of faith, “blameless among the people of his time”  But he was human too, and the sea is a very lonely place. During those months, faith or no faith, Noah must have begun to wonder whether God had forgotten him, his family and the animals as they floated like insignificant bits of refuse on the
great tide…But God Remembered Him. Those periods of lonely uncertainties are times where you must KNOW THE GOD IN WHOM YOU BELIEVE… Those times you
feel overwhelmed and weakened from the battle that never seems to end…Remember to know the God whom you have believed. Trust him through all things… God will not
fail you . You may not see or feel him working out the problem, but know that he is working a way out for you. Today GOD remembers you for good… YOU ARE COMING OUT. GOD is giving you multiple reasons to celebrate. Receive Grace in Jesus Name.

PSALM 105:41-45 says…
GOD opened the rock, and water gushed out; like a river it flowed in the desert. FOR HE REMEMBERED HIS HOLY PROMISE GIVEN TO HIS SERVANT ABRAHAM. He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy; he gave them the lands of the nations, and they fell heir to what others had toiled for– that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws. Praise the LORD.

IT’S OKAY TO YELL

I yell out to my God, I yell with all
my might,  I yell at the top of my lungs. He listens. I found myself in trouble and went looking for my Lord; my life was an open wound
that wouldn’t heal. When friends said, “Everything will turn out all right,” I didn’t believe a word they
said. I remember God—and shake my head. I bow my head—then wring my hands. I’m awake all night—not a wink of sleep; I can’t even say what’s bothering me. I go over the days one by one, I ponder the years gone by. I strum my lute all through the night, wondering how to get my life together. Will the Lord walk off and leave us for good? Will he never smile again? Is his love worn threadbare? Has his salvation promise burned out? Has God forgotten his manners? Has he angrily stalked off and left us? “Just my luck,” I said. “The High God goes out of business just the moment I need him.” Once again I’ll go over what GOD has done, lay out on the table the ancient wonders;I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished, and give a long, loving look at your acts. 
O God! Your way is holy!
No god is great like God! You’re the God who makes things happen;
you showed everyone what
you can do— You pulled your people out of the worst kind of trouble, rescued the children of Jacob and Joseph. Ocean saw you in action, God, saw you and trembled with fear; Deep Ocean was scared to death. Clouds belched buckets of rain, Sky exploded with thunder, your arrows flashing this way and that. From Whirlwind came your
thundering voice, Lightning exposed the world, Earth reeled and rocked. You strode right through Ocean, walked straight through roaring Ocean, but nobody saw you come or go. Hidden in the hands of Moses and Aaron,You led your people like a flock of sheep. HE’S THE SAME GOD
